      主讲人：蔡国瑞（Guoray Cai） 教授

蔡国瑞教授简介：
      Dr. Guoray Cai is an Associate Professor of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State University。 He is also an affiliate professor the department of Geography as well as Department of Computer Science and Engineering.  He is the founding director of the Spatial Information and Intelligence Laboratory, which is housed in the College of IST.  He is also a member of GeoVISTA center, Center for Human-Computer Interaction, and NEVAC.  Dr. Cai conducts research in the areas of information retrieval, geographical information science, human-computer interaction (human-computer dialogue systems), visual analytics, geocollaboration and geodeliberation.  His work has been funded by the US National Science Foundation, Department of Homeland Security, Rathyon, Microsoft, and the Center for Enterprise Architecture. His recent work in digital government focuses on supporting inter-agency collaboration and decision-making in extreme events.   Dr. Cai is a member of ACM, IEEE, ASIS, and AAG. 
      Dr. Cai received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Information Sciences at University of Pittsburgh in 1999.  He also holds a Master of Art degree in Geography from West Virginia University, and a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Tianjin University, China.  He was a research scientist during 1986-1991 with the Institute of Remote Sensing Application, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
      Dr. Cai is an affiliate faculty with the Information Management Institute and a ‘CuiYing’ visiting professor at Lanzhou University.
